The surgery operates an appointment system and we endeavor, whenever possible, to give an appointment with the doctor with whom the patient is registered or regularly consults.
GP appointments are released each day at 8 am. These appointments include urgent and routine on-the-day, next day and various other lead times up to four weeks in advance.
The choice and availability of appointments does reduce during the day as appointments are booked therefore if the day, time or clinician of your choice is not available when you call you may be advised to call the following day.
Urgent appointments are reserved for patients presenting with new urgent problems.
Nurses appointments may be booked up to four weeks ahead.
Routine appointments are for 10 minutes and it is not normally possible to cover more than one or, at the most, two problems per appointment.
Surgeries are generally from 8.30am to 11.00am and 3.00pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
When calling to book an appointment you may be asked by the Receptionist for a brief description of the problem. This is to ensure we schedule your appointment with the most appropriate clinician.
